Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Girls Going Global.

No. We believe that girls get a different experience from learning with their peers.

Are parents allowed to participate in programs?

No. Girls must be ages 13-17 at the time of the application and cannot exceed the age requirement at time of program.

If a participant is not 13 at the time of application but will be by program time, can they still apply? What if they are 17 at time of application but will be 18 by program time?

Yes. GGG offers a limited number of scholarships for girls who apply to our programs and express and verify need.

Do you all Provide Scholarships?

ABSOLUTELY. GGG makes safety our first priority. All chaperones have received First Aid and CPR training as well as federal background check and are required to submit Childline and Abuse Registry Clearance Form. All participants are required to show proof of health and travel insurance.

Will my child be safe?

During our International Travel Camps GGG hosts 5 volunteer chaperones and 2-3 junior chaperones are 18+ and have participated in previous GGG International Travel Camps. Chaperones are selected through an application and interview process. Request and applications for chaperones are released on an as needed basis.

How many chaperones participate? How are your chaperones selected?

GGG is committed to making this an affordable experience. Other similar programs cost $4,000-6,000 dollars and STILL do not include airfare. Girls and parents will have the opportunity to fundraise through merchandise sales, letter campaigns, and one ticketed fundraising event in both Philadelphia and Atlanta. Additional costs include US Passport, travel insurance, and spending money.

The cost to participate in GGG’s International Travel Camps are all inclusive and includes

  1. RT airfare from PHL/ATL airports

  2. Shared lodging at 4-5 star resort or hotel

  3. Culture and adventure activities

  4. All meals
